Creative Director – Digital Agency

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Digital Creative Director to lead our client’s, an innovative end-to-end performance digital marketing agency, growing design team.

The agency are an end-to-end performance digital marketing agency with a strong history of success across some of Australia’s (and the world’s) most respected brands. The Agency has grown considerably over the past few years, offering an exciting and ambitious environment for a driven Digital Creative Director to thrive in.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to think conceptually and not only fulfil the brief to the letter, but also where appropriate, to challenge, present ideas, and to build upon or improve creative concepts.

This role requires a belief that form follows function and being able to balance beautiful design with solid intent (digital assets that encourage engagement and websites and ads that drive conversion). The ideal candidate is driven to design for a purpose and not to simply make something “look pretty”.

You will be responsible for

• Lead and manage a small team of designers and freelancers to produce high-quality digital marketing materials for clients.
• Develop creative concepts and campaigns in line with client objectives and brand guidelines.
• Manage project timelines and ensure that all deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with account managers and other team members to ensure that client expectations are met and exceeded.
• Create and oversee the design of websites, landing pages, digital ads, email templates, and other digital marketing assets.
• Ensure that all creative work is consistent with the company’s brand and style guidelines.
• Work with clients to understand their needs and provide creative solutions that meet their objectives.
• Working closely with team members from other disciplines such as SEO and Paid Media
• Provide feedback and mentorship to team members to help them grow professionally.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, and recommend new approaches and tools to enhance the company’s creative capabilities.
• Roll up sleeves and contribute to the creative process by producing and developing designs and assets as needed.

About you

• 5+ years of experience in a design lead or similar role.
• Great understanding (SEO, Paid Media) of the digital marketing landscape in order to work collaboratively with the internal teams to deliver valuable fit-for-purpose creative solutions.
• Highly proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Figma.
• Experience in production of websites and campaign assets, primarily WordPress, HTML, CSS and WYSIWYG page builders
• Excellent project management skills and experience managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Logical and analytical approach to problem solving
• Effective and efficient working style and approach to management & mentorship

Salary offered for this role is $140.000-$160.000 AUD inc super.
