UI/Product Designer

Intro to the role:

Fulcrum is currently seeking a talented UI/Product Designer to join an innovative and mission-driven Australian health insurer that is embarking on a new venture to improve affordable healthcare and patient choice. This is an exciting opportunity for a high-performing individual who can contribute to the creation and scaling of a multi-product business across health financing, treatment support, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) provision, and compliance.

Your Role:

As a UI/Product Designer, you will be responsible for the following:

• Collaborating with design and product teams on defining information architecture and workflows, concept development, and interaction design
• Applying appropriate UI design patterns and components to designs
• Participating in user research and providing recommendations in a both written and visual format
• Translating user research and usability test findings into iterative product solutions
• Building and managing Figma UI workspace and design system workspace
• Briefing and collaborating with product and engineering teams in determining build-ready screens
• Setting expectations and estimating time and delivery of UI components with an agile mindset
• Collaborating to help define copy and content

About You:

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• Experience in building out a brand from scratch
• Experience in B2B and B2C
• Usability testing experience
• Worked in agile, iterative testing cycles (working alongside engineering teams)
• Copywriting and content experience is ideal
• Strong interpersonal and teaming skills
• Excellent communication skills in English, in order to clearly explain design decisions and processes to stakeholders

Please note that this role requires at least two days per week in the Sydney CBD office.
